 Recent examples of work handled includes: 

  • Advised in the takeover of Hellenic Bank (2nd largest bank in Cyprus in 2025) by Eurobank Ltd.  
  • Advised on high‑value cross‑border financing transactions involving layered security packages whereby our work included drafting and reviewing finance documents, issuing capacity opinions, and overseeing perfection of security. Transactions often involved multi‑jurisdictional collateral and refinancing structures and in value. Individual transactions exceeded $600million in value. 
  • Advised a major bank on a large‑scale financing secured by guarantees, share pledges, and debentures across multiple group entities. We coordinated foreign counsel and addressed complex issues concerning control and perfection of security over bank accounts. The transaction involved assets in several EU jurisdictions and the value exceed $420 million. 
  • Acted for the lenders’ on the refinancing of a $550 million secured facility to one of the largest agricultural companies of Eastern Europe.
  • Acting on a regular basis for large scaled financing and refinancing transactions involving leading global bank institutions such Goldman Sachs, Unicredit, UBS, JP Morgan, Barclays, etc. 
  • Instructed by a leading international firm in order to act as escrow agents in respect of the sale of the shares of a Cyprus entity, part of a multination group with substantial assets in excess of $300 million. Our firm had drafted the relevant documentation in respect of the escrow agreement, the share sale agreement as well as the finance and security documents and successfully completed the deal. 
  • Advised Asia Pacific Bank and its group on a landmark restructuring exceeding EUR 750 million, implementing a Cyprus court‑approved scheme of arrangement involving complex cross‑border banking, corporate and regulatory issues.
  • Advised a global organisation with regards to the listing of one of its group companies in a foreign exchange in the European Union.
  • Advised and handled the financing in connection with the purchase by Fattal Group of a 5 star hotel in Cyprus.
  • Act as the Cyprus legal counsel to a major global company within the Fattal Group, advising on significant hotel acquisitions, financings and landmark hospitality investments, including five‑star developments.
